Nvidia releases GeForce 331.82 WHQL drivers, designed for Assassin's Creed IV
For the gamers out there that like to keep up to date with their graphics card drivers, Nvidia has released a new WHQL-certified driver which is "game ready" for both Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag and Need for Speed: Rivals. GeForce driver version 331.82 WHQL is now available for most Nvidia GPU owners running anything from Windows XP to Windows 8.1 64-bit.
331.82 introduces a number of optimizations for those of you with an expensive 4K Ultra HD setup, giving up to 50% better performance in Battlefield 4, Crysis 3 and Metro: Last Light; three relatively graphics-intense games that could seriously benefit from 4K optimizations. Aside from these optimizations, you should see better performance in Call of Duty: Ghosts and Batman: Arkham Origins as well.
Ge Force Experience version 1.7.1 is included with the 331.82 driver, bringing extended support for the beta version of Shadow Play, a tool which records game play using a H.264 codec with a minimal performance hit on GeForce GPUs. As usual, Nvidia's new driver also includes a range of new SLI, 3D Vision and Surround profiles to help optimize the performance on those type of systems.
If you haven't yet updated to the 331.82 WHQL driver, you should do so now using the automatic update feature in GeForce Experience. Otherwise, you can grab the standalone installer from our drivers section.
